The purpose of this blog is to SPREAD the word about MAP (Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis). MAP is the cause of Johne’s disease, a severe inflammatory disorder found in animals, especially dairy cattle. MAP has been found in cold water tanks, retail milk, raw milk, raw cheese, tap water, sewage treatment works and numerous rivers used for domestic water supply.
